Born in Seoul, Korea in 1990, Kyoung-Min Park began playing the violin and piano at age of 6, switching to viola four years later. Her first viola teacher was Prof. Sung-koo Cho.
She moved to Austria in 2003, and for five years studied with Ulrich Schoenauer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She then transferred to the College of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin studying with Walter Kuessner and since 2010 Tabea Zimmermann. She has also attended master classes by Nobuko Imai, Roberto Diaz, Kim Kashkashian, Nils Moenkemeyer, Wilfried Strehle, Eberhard Feltz.
Kyoung-Min has won numerous competitions and prizes including the second prize and public prize at the Munich ARD Competition in 2013, the third and special prize at Markneukirchen International Competition in Germany and the second prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition in Isle of man, Britain in 2010.
